3.4 Released
Has anyone tried loading 3.4 yet? I noticed they said “improved security” so wasn’t sure if our process or jailbreak would still work. I haven’t gotten around to trying it out yet.
Do NOT upgrade to 3.4. It removes SSH access, which prevents jailbreak. No workaround has been identified yet.
I was wondering if they changed how Composer and Director communicate. Are you sure they removed SSH access? How does Composer talk to the Director?
They did not change how Composer and Director communicate with each other. It's still certificate-based IP communication. They just disabled the SSH process from running on the director, so jailbreak certificates can't be installed to enable composer communication using third-party (jailbreak) certificates.

this is not true. you can upgrade and install certs as normal.

Thanks. I noticed in the release notes that you must be on ver 3.3 (I believe) to upgrade to 3.4. It doesn't work on anything with lower version. Maybe that's the issue Ctl4AltDel is seeing. I'm on 3.3 and have tested all upgrades with the jailbreak tool up till now. They all work so far.
To be clear, I didn't try to upgrade to 3.4. I've seen comments from several dealers/developers who have early access and they said SSH was removed in their test builds.
