Control4 OS 3.0
Any discussion on 3.0 and new hardware release dates?

Still no apple iOS or siri integration?!? Come on. Tired of trying to make this system work with all sorts of oddball apps and brands.
I totally agree! With the intercom fiasco and real no siri true integration (Siri Proxy was so nice!), they dropped the ball. Now 3.0 and no new hardware release yet...just piecemealing their introduction. Hopefully when they become acquired by SnapAV they will get their act together and not be the disaster that has them think like they are Apple but introduce tech that is old. Ashame. Time for people to be moved around and it will be refreshing to see a change at C4 whether they like it or not! Hate waiting tho!
With OS 3.0, what is the compatibility with older touchscreens?
I heard that HC250's and HC800's are compatible though. So what about systems with these controllers and the previous verson touchscreens? Will the controllers run the updated software and see a benefit or will they be stopped at 2.10.6 like the old touchscreens were stopped at 2.9.1?
HC800 is capable of running 3.0, but not capable of displaying the UI through the video out. HC250 is not capable of running 3.0 at all.
It’s my understanding that systems with old touchscreens can’t be updated. Old devices have to be removed from the project before you can update compatible devices.
Any info on older dimmer and switches (C4-DIM1-Z, LDZ-101, and C4-SW1-Z)? Based on what I have read, HC-800 is only non-EA controller that will update but will not have the GUI (red C4 button) due to C4 D/C flash usage (which is good). All other HC controllers will not allow upgrade unless removed from project (just as stated above). I have not found any info on older switches or dimmers. I assume there should be no problem, but one never knows. If anyone has access to release notes, that would be helpful.
