Garrynewman released jailbreak for 3.1.3 !

Jailbreak tool for Control4 3.1.3 - allowing add/rename/move rooms/drivers/devices without being a dealer.
Why
I'm a nerd. I got home automation in my house so I could play with it, so I could write my own drivers and make it do cool stuff. By default you can't do that without being an authorized dealer - unless you jailbreak your Director.
There are a few dodgy tools floating around that achieve the same thing, but the process is over-complicated, error prone and out of date.
I thought it would be safer/easier in the long run to write something open source.
How
Head over to the releases page and download the zip (not the source). Unzip and run C4Jailbreak.exe.

I want to make sure before I start, these will be my steps, I'm currently on 3.1.0 (not patched):
1. Upgrade the controller to 3.1.3
2. Download and install 3.1.3 Composer Pro
3. Run the jailbreak
Correct, right?

I personally have not upgraded passed 2.10 because it seemed like v3 was getting overly complicated to jailbreak with people posting mixed results. A tool like this would be perfect, once the bugs are worked out. There are just so many different steps and the order of events and the state of your computer and controller are all variables. When things don't work, it becomes difficult to fix without wiping and starting from scratch. I've spent entire days trying to fix things.
I like you had started on 2.10.6 for a looonnnggg time.
i recently made the move to 3.1.0.5..., as the process was fairly similar to 2.10.6. The upgrade went fairly smooth.
I’m hesitant to move beyond, as it seems more complex needing to change the user& pwd etc. I don’t think I’m missing much staying on 3.1.0.5...
I am glad I finally made the move to OS3 though as there is a big step forward as far as customizing touchscreens, etc.
My friend, who had never jailbroken before, used this method without issue on 3.1.3.

Three things to consider-
1) 3.1.0 is very, very buggy.
2) Creating the user is a one time thing as long as you have your current controller (and don’t wipe it). Once done for 3.1.1 or higher you are done and just use that user when you need to logon to the system.
3) There are a number of added features but anyone who has cameras and T3 touchscreens (or of you use OSD) should be on at least 3.1.2
