I am disappointed that, all of a sudden (or so it seems to me), HotWheels “collectors” have come to be so predatory and opportunistic, snatching up desirable castings and selling them at a markup. It feels like this has coincided with Mattel signing a new licensing agreement with Ferrari… supported by the fact that the new Ferrari releases seem to be the hardest to find in-store.

The “speculators” out there seem to often be looking for a substantial markup. Well, I’m not interested in participating in this capitalism gone wild. And I encourage others to refuse to buy at big markups, lest this practice will only get worse.

I did, in past years, amass a number of HotWheels mainline diecasts (when it was easier to find more desirable castings) for a project, and I have some left over that I have come to realize may be valuable to other collectors. Except in rare cases, I’m really only interested in trading what I have for new HotWheels items that I don’t have but would like.

…plus more to come!

ALL items are in original, unopened packaging. ALL had been out for sale to the public, not from cases without handling. Most cards are in “good” to “excellent” condition, though some may be a bit rough.

I also have a number of open HotWheels — open for display only; guaranteed not played with — that I will list separately as soon as possible.

What I’m Looking For:

  • HotWheels Ferrari F40 (already have red, yellow)
  • HotWheels Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona (already have red #64, yellow #64)
  • HotWheels Ferrari SF90 (already have grey, dark blue)
  • HotWheels Porsche 356, 911, 928, 935, GT3, GT3 RS, 904, 963… I probably have most, but let me know what you have for trade!
  • Matchbox Radical SR3 XXR
  • Primarily European, but also some American and Japanese sports cars, classic cars, race cars, and exotics.  What else have you got to offer?!

Location

I’m located in Georgetown, Ontario and only looking to trade locally.  Happy to travel to meet about half way between places like Oakville, Brampton, Mississauga, Guelph, Milton, Acton, Erin, Caledon…  And I occassionally travel along the 401 across the top of Toronto to Pickering, so let’s see if we can figure out a meetup, assuming it’s worthwhile for both of us.
