Actually, it’s not just concert tickets I want.  In this case we’re talking about Muse; they’re coming to Toronto in April.

What I really want is The Secret To Buying Good Concert Tickets.  I mean, how is it that within minutes of ticket sales opening up – and I’m talking “pre-sale” which I can access thanks to being on a local radio station’s mailing list – all that’s available is upper levels in bad places?

I had a similar experience recently helping a friend buy tickets to see both Dave Matthews and City & Colour (two different concerts).  She is a “VIP Fan Club” member (or something like that) and so in theory gets early access to good seats. But no! Not awful seats, but not great seats.

So… how on earth do those lucky people on the floor get those seats? Who do they know?!
